1723 und 1738 sind ins Deutsche übersetzt worden

 

Nach Klaus C. F. Feddersen: Die ersten allgemeinen Verordnungen der 1717 gegründeten Grossloge von London von Payne aus dem Jahre 1729.

Vorgelegt der Forschungsvereinigung „Frederik“ der Grossen Landesloge der Freimaurer von Deutschland. Flensburg 1993.

1720 waren vermutlich drei „gothische“ Konstitutionen bekannt (40):

Das Cooke-Manuskript

eines aus der Tew-Familie

eines aus der Plot-Familie.

 

1738 entnahm Anderson ganze Teile aus der Roberts-Constitution (ca. 1650, gedruckt 1722) (39).

 

Der genaue Wortlaut der „General Regulations“, die 1721 von George Payne vorgelegt wurden, ist unbekannt. Sicher ist, dass James Anderson, nicht das gesamte Material in die 1723 erschienen „Constitutions“ übernommen hat (42, 58)

 

1738 erschien eine neue Ausgabe der „Constitutions“. Darin wurden die „General Regulations“ beträchtlich erweitert. Zu jeder der  bisherigen 39 Verordnungen kam eine neue und am Schluss eine zusätzliche vierzigste.
